Productivity apps charge a subscription and make you sign in to see your own to-do list. I built one that runs entirely on the iPhone: private by default, with nothing to sign up for. Version 2.0 cut its own headline feature after testing showed users were losing control.
A voice assistant that lives on my laptop. It recognizes my voice, reads tone, remembers past conversations, and answers out loud in about 1.6 seconds, with nothing sent to the cloud.
